This was a small exhibition, boy first in Moscow many years, held in the pub ‘SousSol’ (Bolshoy Kozikhinsky Pereulok 21) of an old Brit/American friend of mine — Simon Connolly. The whole thing was put together by the British Business Club (in particular — Chris Mawer). There were about 50 people packed in there that night. It was also a wine tasting event, organised by Charles Borden’s and American writer on Russian wines. Strangely three works were sold on the first night, including ‘Remembrance Sunday’ to Chris Mawer.
